Last week we traveled to Montana for my Dad's family reunion (he's one of eight brothers and sisters) and for a little four day family vacation. Needless to say, everyone was super excited about this trip because it would be Taylor's 1st time on an airplane! The morning of the trip he was super anxious for everything that we had been telling him about to actually start happening:
Questions Such As...
are we going to the airport,
where's the plane,
when do we get on the plane,
when is the plane going to fly,
are we flying yet,
are we in Montana yet,
when are we going to land,
I want to get on the next plane...
The flight from Houston (mini visit with GeeGee & Grandpa the day before) was on a larger plane so the windows weren't directly next to the seats. It was hard for Taylor to stay buckled and still see all the action outside the window.
Finally fell asleep on the first flight 5 minutes before we landed...of course!

Quiet time to read...ahhh, such a luxury somedays!
2 1/2 hour lay-over in Salt Lake City
The plane I thought I was going to have to get on (2 prop engines) in order to get to Montana. Luckily, our plane was way on the other side of the same terminal and it did not have any propellers! But it was a lot smaller than the first plane...
You get to walk out on the tarmac to get on these planes...very neat!
Perfect window seat on this flight!
Both of my boys slept the entire 1:15 minute flight...ahhh, more quiet reading time for me!
This Totem pole was at the back of the resort we were staying at. The Fairmont Hot Springs would be our home for the next 3 days. It's about a 15 minute drive from Butte. Out in the middle of some ranches, and acres and acres of pine trees and "Big Sky".
Yes folks, that's really it.
All of it.
One single camera frame fit it all in.
It's equipped with 1 ticketing counter, 1 baggage claim (approximately 15 feet long), 2 car rental booths, 1 waiting area, 1 baggage checking machine, 1 plane at a time, and 1 security check.
That's it.
And the sandwich shop isn't open on Saturdays at 12:30pm...what??
Welcome to Butte Montana!
